Time and schedule

The Winterschool lasts from Saturday afternoon, March 08, to Friday morning, March 14. There will be an informal reception party on Saturday, March 08, starting around 9 pm. If you arrive in time you can have dinner at the Hotel Sonnalp before the reception party. The scientific program starts on Sunday (March 09) morning and ends on Thursday (March 13) evening. Departure is on Friday (March 14) after breakfast.

On Tuesday evening, we will celebrate 40 years of Kirchberg Winterschools! Many of you probably have nice pictures from previous years – you are welcome to bring them (printed out) for display at our dedicated picture gallery!

Contributions

Oral lecturers are asked to check their lecture time, which is 20+10 and 50+10 minutes for research and tutorial lectures, respectively. There will be three poster sessions on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

The dimensions of your poster should not exceed the size of our portable poster walls: height: 150 cm, width: 100 cm. Please note that all posters must be in portrait format!

All participants are invited to contribute comments, questions, confirmations, objections etc. to the individual lectures. Mini workshops can be arranged during the afternoon any day.

The research discussed in Kirchberg will be published in a special issue of physica status solidi and other journals by Wiley-VCH. Details will be announced at the meeting.

Travel

Some participants will be accommodated outside the Hotel Sonnalp in close-by hotels or private bed-and-breakfast places. However, all facilities of the Hotel will be open for these colleagues. Dinner at Hotel Sonnalp is included in the registration fee for all participants and accompanying persons. The Hotel Sonnalp will provide wireless LAN connection to the Internet.

From Munich Airport, there is a shuttle service that can be booked on individual basis:

From Kirchberg or Kitzbühel train station you may take a taxi to Hotel Sonnalp. A 24h conventional taxi transportation is available from Kirchberg train station. Call Taxi Aschaber at +43 (0)5357 2711 at least one hour before you need the taxi, or send an email in advance to: taxiaschaber@aon.at

Arrival and conference check-in

Registration for the IWEPNM 2025 starts at the Hotel Sonnalp on Saturday March 08, 5 pm.

Check-in to the rooms starts Saturday noon. Please go to Hotel Sonnalp first, even if you are accomodated in a nearby place.

If you plan to arrive later than 10 pm, please notify us in advance.
